Women In Marigold

This project involved designing a full book jacket for an unreleased novel titled Women in Marigold. The goal was to create a visually compelling cover that captures the tone and themes of the story while functioning effectively across all parts of the book jacket, including the front cover, spine, and back.

I developed the design using a combination of hand-drawn illustrations and digital tools, including Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Procreate. The illustrations were created to give the cover a more personal and expressive quality, helping to visually communicate the narrative and emotional atmosphere of the book. I focused on building a cohesive composition that balanced imagery, typography, and visual hierarchy to ensure readability and strong visual impact.

The final design was presented to the book’s publishing team, where I explained my concept, design choices, and how the cover aligns with the intended audience.

This project strengthened my ability to combine illustration with graphic design and gave me experience designing for a real-world presentation setting.
